The Price of a New Player
The affiliate deal you sign for your crypto casino can affect what you earn from a customer long after their first deposit.
For an operator planning their next affiliate partnership, the decision is how to pay for those referrals: a fixed fee for a qualifying customer, or a share of the revenue they generate.
Under a cost-per-acquisition agreement, or CPA, you pay an agreed fee when a referred customer meets your conditions. With revenue share, the affiliate receives a percentage of the revenue defined in your contract for the agreed period.
These ongoing arrangements account for substantial referral activity. Better Collective reported 373,000 new depositing customers in Q2 2026, with 70% generated through revenue-share agreements. For your casino, the question is how those payments add up as customers return—and how much revenue you retain after paying the affiliate.
As a simplified illustration, a $100 CPA and a 25% revenue share would produce the same $100 commission once a customer generated $400 of revenue counted under the agreement. Your estimate of customer value therefore matters when comparing the offers.

CPA fixes the affiliate fee once the customer qualifies, but you still need enough value from that customer to recover it. Revenue share links commission to the agreed revenue calculation, with payments potentially continuing as the customer returns.
For your next affiliate partnership, compare what you expect to keep after bonuses, affiliate payments and operating costs. Check how the agreement calculates revenue and how long commissions continue. Then measure the customers each partner actually brings, rather than assuming they will behave like your existing customers.
